This post covers our stay at the Swiss Cottage Tent House by Kinner Camps at Sangla. Cuddled within the Sangla valley in Kinnaur district is Kinner Camps. What actually swept the whole experience of the stay was the location. The cottages faced the snow-clad Himalayas rendering a breath-taking view. Adding to it was the proximity to River Baspa, one of the most serene rivers I’ve seen.
So the time came when I was visiting Kolkatta for the first time; the time to try some Bengali food. When you are in Kolkatta and ask anyone where to get some authentic Bengali food, you shall hear a reply in unison, like the national anthem, ‘Bhojohori Manna’ for it is ‘the’ best place I’ve read and heard about for Bengali cuisines.
We had recently stayed at the Aveda resort, Kumarakom. For its location alongside the Lake Vembanad, the backwaters of Kerala, and all the services, we cherished a refreshing stay. The backwaters area in Kumarakom hosts a number of resorts. It took a long search for us to screen them all to choose one. And we are definitely glad we chose Aveda!
Sometimes, perfect vacations are not about extensive traveling and visiting countless places. It can just be all about taking a little time off the routine to explore what nature at distant places holds in store for us.
