Know Your Hidden Forces

I’m not an atheist and I don’t think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn’t know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

—Albert Einstein

This mysterious order of arrangement as Einstein calls it pertains not only to the concept of God but also to a good number of incidents that shape the course of human life events. In my own life, though it seemed like personal choice had played a determining role in selecting, say, the course of study, career, friends, city, and the like – upon reflection, I realize that even these most significant happenings were unplanned and unforeseen. It was not only the external happenings but also my internal alternation of moods, kindling of emotions, fluctuations in the energy level were greatly influenced by something, which were not a part of me.

With conversations with other people, I am convinced that a good deal of mystery and unpredictability surrounds many of us on earth (my circle of people is not too big at the moment to say ‘all on earth’). I believe that our lives are a play of such hidden forces, which we are almost totally unaware of. Science has come a short way in discovering few of these invisible forces such as electricity and magnetism. Also the field of psychology has dug a lot about the human consciousness (such as subconscious and unconscious layers). Yet we know little about the secret dynamics of life. And all that we are able to do about these is to label them under chance, coincidence, destiny, fate, luck, stars, and karma and accept them forever without an understanding. In fact these forces were all the time familiar to us, though went unnoticed because of the lack of their understanding.

Know your hidden forces is a place to talk on such diverse forces which act on us, determining the course of events, influencing our thoughts, feelings, actions and health. This knowledge can, to a certain extent, help as a key to unlock the mysteries behind the shaping of the significant moments of our lives.  We will see that these unseen forces are very much a part of science and its only today’s ‘scientism’ that makes people obscure from seeing the reality.
