I suppose Rs.250 would seem an affordable donation to many.

And if that would feed a child for a month + will give you tax benefits, would you do it?

  • Reach their homepage here.
  • On the left, under choose your donation, choose the amount and cause of your choice.
  • You can also choose the NGO, State and tax benefit option through advanced search.
  • You will see a list of children or people in need along with the NGO and their cause. Choose to DONATE for your cause.
  • You will be asked to create a one-time account with GiveIndia by providing your name, Email ID and address. You also get to choose how you would like to get your tax receipt as – Indian resident/NRI/US taxpayer/UK taxpayer/other.
  • You will then receive your username and password to your email-ID using which you need to login to your account.
  • Once logged in, you can make the donation online.
  • You will receive a receipt of your donation to your email-ID which can be used for tax exemptions (I personally guarantee this).
  • A feedback report for donations made to Corpus Fund / General Fund of an NGO is sent soon after the donation is made. A feedback report for any other donation option is sent within 4-6 months.
  • You might also receive a feedback call.
