Qualifying Age
Adults between 18 and 65 years are eligible to enter the policy cover. The maximum maturity age is 70 years.
Policy Term and Sum Assured
The policy term can be between 5 and 30 years. A total sum of Rs. 5 Lakhs to Rs. 1 Crore can be assured.
Premium

Waiting and Survival Periods
From the date of issue/renewal of the policy, 90 days must have lapsed in order to make the first claim. Also, the life insured must survive for 28 days from the date of confirmed diagnosis of the critical illness.
Benefits of the Plan
Lump Sum Cover
On diagnosis of critical illness, the plan holder shall receive a lump sum insurance cover that need not be necessarily utilized for medical expenses. It can be used for lifestyle expenses such as EMIs, education etc., as well. As a matter of fact, the maximum coverage of this plan is higher than that of most other health insurance policies in the market.

Claim Options
- One can choose either the single-claim option under which a one-time claim of the sum assured can be made, or
- The multiclaim option under which claims up to three times can be made. The best aspect of the multiclaim option is that the sum assured is payable during each claim.
Note: A minimum time gap of 365 days between two subsequent claims is mandatory.
Future Premium Waiver
With the multiclaim option, post first claim, payment of future premiums is waived. In other words, the policy holder can avail the benefits for the remaining term of the policy without having to pay anything further.
Tax Benefit
Tax benefits for the premium and claim amount are available under Section 80D and Section 10 (10D) of Income Tax Act, 1961.
